TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Hot Sauce Kings ("Company," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing our website, purchasing our products, or subscribing to our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

1. GENERAL ORDERS & ONE-TIME PURCHASES

1.1. Order Acceptance

All orders placed through our website are subject to acceptance by Hot Sauce Kings. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including limitations on quantities available for purchase, inaccuracies, or errors in product or pricing information.

1.2. Pricing & Taxes

All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars. Prices do not include applicable sales tax, which will be calculated at checkout based on your shipping address. We reserve the right to change prices for products at any time, though price changes will not affect orders already placed or active subscription intervals until the next billing cycle.

1.3. Return Policy (One-Time Purchases)

Due to the perishable nature of our products (hot sauces, mustards, relishes), all sales of food items are final. We do not accept returns or offer refunds for products based on personal taste preferences.

  • Damaged Goods: If your order arrives damaged or broken, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damage, and we will issue a replacement or store credit.

2. SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES & BILLING

2.1. Recurring Billing

By purchasing a subscription (The Kingdom Loyalist, The Explorer’s Guild, On The Hunt, or The Royal Tribute), you acknowledge that your subscription has an initial and recurring payment feature and you accept responsibility for all recurring charges prior to cancellation. Your payment method will be automatically charged monthly on the calendar day corresponding to the commencement of your subscription.

2.2. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time via your account portal or by contacting customer support. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to your next scheduled billing date to avoid being charged for the subsequent month.

3. SHIPPING & FULFILLMENT

The following terms apply to all orders, including one-time purchases and monthly subscription boxes.

3.1. Handling Time

Please allow 1–3 business days for our scribes and warehouse team to process and pack your order before it is shipped. You will receive a tracking number via email once your package has left our kingdom.

3.2. Continental US Shipping

  • Free Shipping: We offer free standard shipping on all subscription tiers for addresses within the continental United States. One-time purchases may be subject to a shipping fee unless a specific promotion applies.

  • Carriers: We utilize major carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) to ensure your provisions arrive safely.

3.3. International & Non-Continental US

  • Scope: This includes Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, etc.), and all international destinations.

  • Surcharges: Orders shipped to these locations are not eligible for free shipping. Shipping fees will be calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.

  • Customs & Duties: For international orders, the customer is responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees levied by their country. Hot Sauce Kings is not responsible for packages held by foreign customs agencies.

4. TIER-SPECIFIC TERMS

4.1. The Explorer’s Guild: "Rule of the Raven"

Subscribers to "The Explorer’s Guild" must select their desired product (Sauce, Mustard, or Relish) by the 5th day of each month via email or the user portal.

  • Failure to Select: If no selection is made by the deadline, Hot Sauce Kings reserves the right to select a product for you at random.

  • No Returns on Random Selections: You acknowledge that "surprise" selections resulting from a failure to choose are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges based on flavor preference for these automated selections.

4.2. The Royal Tribute: Titles & Digital Land

Subscribers to "The Royal Tribute" tier receive a novelty title (e.g., "High Lord/Lady") and a grant of "Digital Land."

  • Novelty Nature of Titles: You acknowledge that the titles granted ("Lord," "Lady," "High Noble") are for novelty, entertainment, and community purposes within the "Pepper Kingdom" fictional universe. They confer no legal status, peerage, or authority in any real-world government or jurisdiction.

  • Digital Land: "Digital Land" refers to a virtual entry in the Hot Sauce Kings registry and digital map. It represents no claim to physical real estate, soil, or territory in the real world. Ownership of digital land is a revocable license to display your name on our virtual platform.

  • Transfer & Resale: At this time, titles and digital land are non-transferable and have no cash value outside of the Hot Sauce Kings ecosystem.

  • Priority Investment Rights: The "right of first refusal" or "priority access" to purchase future digital land is a benefit of active membership. This does not constitute a financial security or guaranteed investment return.

5. PRODUCT DISCLAIMERS

5.1. Consumption & Liability

Our products contain hot peppers, capsaicin, and other spicy ingredients. By purchasing, you acknowledge the nature of these products. Hot Sauce Kings is not liable for any physical discomfort, digestive issues, or injury resulting from the consumption of our products, nor for consumption by those with allergies or sensitivities. Please review all ingredient labels before consumption.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content, lore, character names (e.g., King Ricardo, General Habanero), maps, and branding associated with the "Pepper Kingdom" are the exclusive intellectual property of Hot Sauce Kings. You are granted a limited license to use the "Titles" for personal display, but you may not use our lore or IP for commercial purposes without express written consent.

PRIVACY POLICY

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information necessary to fulfill your orders, manage your subscription, and maintain the "Royal Registry."

  • Personal Information: Name, shipping address, billing address, email address, and phone number.

  • Account Information: Username, password, and subscription preferences (e.g., your chosen "Kingdom").

  • Digital Registry Data: If you subscribe to a tier involving Titles or Digital Land, we collect the name you wish to have displayed on the public digital map.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

  • Order Fulfillment: To process payments and ship your monthly provisions.

  • "Rule of the Raven" Communications: We use your email to send monthly reminders for Explorer’s Guild selections.

  • The Royal Registry: To display your "High Lord/Lady" title and digital land ownership on our public website/map.

  • Marketing: To send "Lore Dispatches," newsletters, and offers. You may opt-out of marketing emails at any time, though transactional emails regarding your subscription will still be sent.

3. PUBLIC VISIBILITY OF TITLES

By subscribing to "The Royal Tribute" or purchasing a Title/Digital Land:

  • You consent to having your chosen "Noble Name" and "Plot Number" displayed publicly on our digital map.

  • You may choose to use a pseudonym/alias for your Noble Name if you wish to keep your legal name private.

  • We reserve the right to reject any Noble Name that is offensive, hate speech, or violates community standards.

4. DATA SECURITY

We implement standard security measures to protect your personal data. Payment processing is handled by third-party secure processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal), and we do not store your full credit card information on our servers.
